Like all Parish Councils, Butlers Marston Parish Council has powers to represent and support the village community. The Parish Council helps protect the local environment and comments on planning applications. We get our funding via the Parish Precept which is collected on our behalf by Stratford District Council with each household’s Council Tax.

In order to ensure transparency, confidence in the Parish Council and ensure legal decision making the Parish Council has rules for conducting its business.

We have procedures to :

• Ensure we act in a legal and consistent manner.

• Protect the Parish Council from making unlawful decisions.

• Support and guide councillors in carrying out their duties.
